Dorco Boerdery Quarterly Draw — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 October 2026. By entering the draw, whether by paid or free entry, you agree to be bound by these terms in full.

1. The Promoter

This promotion ("the Draw") is run by Dorco Boerdery (Pty) Ltd, trading as Dorco Backgrounding Feedlot ("the Promoter", "we", "us"), of Leeudoringstad, North West Province, South Africa. The Draw is a promotional competition conducted under Section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, and is not a lottery for purposes of the Lotteries Act.

2. Who Can Enter

The Draw is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older. Employees, contractors, and the immediate family members of the Promoter and Dorco Construction & Renovations are not eligible to enter or win.

3. Entry Period & Draw Date

Our first draw will be held on 5 December 2026, as a launch draw ahead of our regular quarterly schedule. From the following quarter onward, each entry period runs for a full calendar quarter (January–March, April–June, July–September, October–December), with the draw held in the first week after that quarter closes. Draw dates are published on this page and on our official channels ahead of each quarter.

4. How to Enter

4.1 Paid Entry

Pay the R100 entry fee via our secure online payment link (PayFast), providing your full name, contact number, and delivery address. One R100 entry fee equals one entry. You may buy more than one entry in a single payment, up to 50 entries per payment, by choosing the number of entries on the entry form; each R100 paid equals one entry. You will receive an entry number (or a range of entry numbers) by SMS or email confirming your entries.

4.2 Free Entry — No Purchase Necessary

You may enter without paying by visiting our offices at 11 Francis Street, Leeudoringstad, North West, 2640 during business hours. A staff member will issue you a free entry form pre-printed with a unique reference number. Complete the form with your full name, contact number, and delivery address, and hand it back to a staff member before the entry period closes. No proof of identity or proof of address is required.

Free entry forms are only issued in person and only carry a valid reference number when handed out by a member of staff; this prevents duplicate or unofficial forms from being created or circulated. Free and paid entries are placed into the same draw pool and carry equal odds of winning. Only one (1) free entry per person is permitted per entry period.

4.3 November Special — Double Entries

If you buy five (5) or more paid entries between 00:00 on 1 November 2026 and 23:59 on 30 November 2026 (South African time), the Promoter will double your paid entries for that period. Paid entries bought in separate payments during the period are added together, and are matched to the same person by name and contact number. For example, 5 paid entries become 10 entries and 8 paid entries become 16 entries.

The Promoter will add your bonus entries after the special period closes, and will confirm your total number of entries, including bonus entries, by SMS or email before the draw. Bonus entries are placed in the same draw pool as all other entries, carry equal odds of winning, have no cash value, and are cancelled if the payment they relate to is reversed or refunded. The special applies to paid entries only and does not change the free entry described in clause 4.2. Entries bought outside the special period are not counted or doubled.

5. The Draw & Winner Notification

The winner is selected at random from all valid entries received during the entry period, by a physical draw witnessed by an independent adult not employed by the Promoter. The Promoter will attempt to contact the winner using the details provided at entry within 3 business days of the draw. If the winner cannot be reached, or does not respond, within 7 days of the first attempted contact, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a new draw and forfeit the original winner's claim.

6. The Prize — Please Read Carefully

What is a "full beef"? A full beef is the meat from one whole beef animal — the entire carcass, both sides — prepared into everyday retail cuts such as steaks, roasts, ribs, stewing meat and mince, and packed ready for the freezer. It is the whole animal, not a single cut or a selection of cuts.

The prize is one (1) beef animal, slaughtered, processed, and packaged for the winner at no further cost, subject to the following:

  • The beef awarded as the prize may be sourced from the Promoter's own feedlot, or procured from another supplier or abattoir at the Promoter's sole discretion, particularly where the Promoter's own production is not yet available at the time of a draw. No representation is made, and none should be assumed, that the prize is exclusively grown, raised, or finished by Dorco Boerdery, and the entrant accepts this by entering.
  • Live weight, dressed (carcass) weight, and final packaged yield vary naturally from animal to animal. The Promoter does not guarantee a specific weight, and the prize is the processed yield of one animal as it naturally occurs, not a fixed weight or kilogram quantity.
  • Cuts, portion sizes, and packaging are determined by the Promoter's processing partner according to standard commercial butchery practice at the time of processing. The winner may not request specific cuts, a specific cutting list, or substitution of any portion of the prize.
  • Any photograph, illustration, or image used to advertise or describe the prize — including on this website — is for illustrative purposes only. It does not represent the actual animal, cuts, packaging, or quantity the winner will receive, and no claim may be made on the basis that the delivered prize differs in appearance, cut selection, or composition from any promotional image.
  • The prize has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, refunded, or converted to a cash equivalent, in full or in part, under any circumstance.
  • The prize is not transferable to a third party without the Promoter's prior written consent.
  • Should the specified animal become unavailable, or should regulatory restrictions (including but not limited to Foot-and-Mouth Disease movement or slaughter restrictions imposed by government authorities) prevent the Promoter from fulfilling the prize as described, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater commercial value, or to delay delivery until such restrictions are lifted, without liability to the Promoter.

By entering, the entrant acknowledges and accepts that the prize is a natural product subject to the variation described above, and waives any claim against the Promoter arising from that natural variation.

7. Delivery

The prize is delivered anywhere within South Africa at no cost to the winner, via courier or a cold-chain logistics partner suited to frozen or chilled meat. For winners in especially remote areas where standard courier or cold-chain service is not available, the Promoter may arrange delivery to the nearest accessible collection point, or agree an alternative delivery arrangement with the winner directly. Delivery timing depends on processing, abattoir scheduling, and courier availability, and will be communicated to the winner directly; the Promoter is not liable for delays caused by its processing or logistics partners, or by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

8. Force Majeure

The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure or delay in conducting the draw or delivering the prize where this is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including disease outbreaks and related government-imposed movement or slaughter restrictions, load-shedding, extreme weather, or other events of force majeure.

9. Your Information

Information collected at entry is used solely to administer the Draw, contact the winner, and arrange delivery of the prize, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Entrant information will not be sold or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver the prize.

10. General

The Promoter's decision in respect of every aspect of the Draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms, or to cancel or postpone the Draw, where required by circumstances beyond its control, and will communicate any such change on this page. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform used to advertise it. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
